2012 Preview (and our 100th post!)

Happy 100th post!

With the 2010 elections right around the corner (it can't come soon enough, right?), it's never too early to start thinking about 2012. As the GOP begins tossing around names, I thought I would throw out some potential candidates for the presidential and vice-presidential nominations. If I'm missing someone, please add him/her to the list!

Mike Huckabee; Ex-Governor of Arkansas
Haley Barbour; Governor of Mississippi
Jeb Bush; Ex-Governor of Florida
Eric Cantor; US Representative Virginia
Newt Gingrich; Ex-Speaker of the House
Bobby Jindal; Governor of Louisiana
Ron Paul; US Representative Texas
Tim Pawlenty; Governor of Minnesota
Mike Pence; US Representative Indiana
Mitt Romney; Governor of Massachusetts
Sarah Palin; Ex-Governor of Alaska
Rick Santorum; Ex-US Senator of Pennsylvania
Rick Perry; Governor of Texas
Allen West; U.S. Congressman Florida
David Patraeus; U.S. Army General

  1. Mitch Daniels might be a (tolerable) one.

  2. I've heard the speculation with Daniels. Personally, I don't think he could get out of a primary race (because only Indianans know his politics), but he has the experience and record to contend. That's more than Mr. Soetoro could say; so anything is possible!

"If an American is to amount to anything he must rely upon himself, and not upon the State; he must take pride in his own work, instead of sitting idle to envy the luck of others. He must face life with resolute courage, win victory if he can, and accept defeat if he must, without seeking to place on his fellow man a responsibility which is not theirs." - Theodore Roosevelt
